Why Do People Use Tobacco? Looking for Answers
The Food and Drug Administration and the National Institutes of Health are conducting a nationwide study of smokers and nonsmokers to understand more about why people start smoking and using other tobacco products. They also want to know why people stop, and why they start up again.
